How can we approach ageing with greater peace, wisdom and emotional resilience?
In this unique session, we explore Active Ageing through a Buddhist perspective, focusing not only on physical wellbeing, but also on emotional balance, acceptance, suffering, purpose and inner peace.
Ageing is often associated with loss, pain, fear and uncertainty. Yet Buddhist teachings invite us to look at ageing differently — not as something to resist, but as a natural process that can be understood with compassion, awareness and acceptance.
This special talk explores how our relationship with pain, change and the ageing process can be transformed through mindfulness, perspective and deeper understanding of the human experience.
Participants will gain insights into:
• understanding ageing from a Buddhist perspective
• emotional wellbeing and resilience in later life
• coping with physical and emotional suffering
• acceptance, compassion and self-awareness
• practical reflections for healthy and meaningful ageing
• how inner wellbeing supports quality of life at every stage of ageing
This session offers a compassionate and deeply human perspective on what it truly means to age well.
